Denver Final Thoughts (4/27-5/27)

Image
Wow, Denver, I loved being here more than I thought and can't believe how quickly my time went.  Livability for me - 100%   I can completely see myself living here for a little while.  Not sure it would be long term as the lack of ocean would probably get to me, but I could see myself here for some time.  The vibe in the city is just cool and I love all the nature.  Another plus is that getting around is super easy - I took like 2 car services the whole time, otherwise it was just bikes and scooters which I loved. Some final pics that didn't make earlier blogs.   I just love this picture - at Garden of the Gods Look at all the trees! My first picture of Union Station The Dancers statues in front of the Denver Performing Arts Center Street art while bike riding More street art Lovefest to Denver - love all the bright colors

The Colors Of Denver

My last weekend here I really wanted to focus on Denver itself.  I've been staying in LoHi, so I explored that area, the Highlands and downtown but hadn't explore much of the rest of Denver.    Here are some highlights from my last week or so of Denver: Sloan's Lake - This is in the Highlands area and a great place to walk or bike.   Plus the sunset over the water is really so beautiful.   Worth the trip and somewhere I can see myself constantly going if I lived in the area. RiNo Street Art - I'm so happy I spent the day exploring RiNo, so much color and street art.   Completely worth just walking around and checking out.   Plus tons of bars and restaurants in the area.   Literally every alley you go down has different art - there are so many incredible artist throughout the country and I'm happy to see they are getting recognition and the graffiti art generation is getting so big. City Park - Such a cool place to just chill and take in nat...

Exploring Boulder

Week 3 is here already.  I can't believe how quickly my time is going.  The week was spent biking around and enjoying the food here.  I love biking Confluence Park leading to Cherry Creek Trail.  It is so nicely setup with a section for walkers and a separate section for bikers/skaters.  The reservoir water runs through the middle and there is street art around as you make your way through.  Its so nice to just put on some music, bike and people watch.  I didn't get a car this weekend and instead opted for exploring Boulder.  I loved Boulder, while the city of Denver is awesome, Boulder has its own magic.  You are right near the mountains with tons of trails everywhere.  Plus Pearl Street is really happening and fun to walk on, get drinks or food and people watch.  Few callouts: Avanti in Boulder - I know I called out Avanti earlier in the blog, but the one in Boulder has a beautiful rooftop, you can see the mountains and the city....
