The Colors Of Denver

My last weekend here I really wanted to focus on Denver itself.  I've been staying in LoHi, so I explored that area, the Highlands and downtown but hadn't explore much of the rest of Denver.

Here are some highlights from my last week or so of Denver:
  • Sloan's Lake - This is in the Highlands area and a great place to walk or bike.  Plus the sunset over the water is really so beautiful.  Worth the trip and somewhere I can see myself constantly going if I lived in the area.
  • RiNo Street Art - I'm so happy I spent the day exploring RiNo, so much color and street art.  Completely worth just walking around and checking out.  Plus tons of bars and restaurants in the area.  Literally every alley you go down has different art - there are so many incredible artist throughout the country and I'm happy to see they are getting recognition and the graffiti art generation is getting so big.
  • City Park - Such a cool place to just chill and take in nature.  It's really a nice oasis to get away from the city, but within the city.  The MLK memorial is beautiful and worth checking out.
  • Walking around Denver - I found a walking tour online that took me all around Capitol Hill to Union Station.  I got a lot of the history and facts about the area.  Some places to check out - the Colorado State Capital, Civic Center, US Mint, 16th Street Mall, Paramount Theatre.

"Rhino" Street Art

Loved this one, especially because I'm obsessed with the song "Astronauts in the Ocean" - this art completely reminded me of that

Molly Brown's house - the unsinkable Molly Brown, if you've seen Titanic.  This woman was quiet an inspiration.
