Being A Country Girl In Nashville

This week I decided to stay in Nashville. I basically just spent the week eating and exploring.

Highlights:
  • Country Music Hall Of Fame - I’m not into country music besides a few pop/country songs, however this was such an nice experience to learn the history of the genre.  I loved everything about the museum.  It had so much background on the different artists, country sounds, and how the music became popular.  The rotunda was beautiful with all the plaques from artists that have been initiated into the Hall of Fame.
  • Parthenon -  I debated on this one and whether touring inside would be worth it.  From the outside the Parthenon is magnificent and makes me want to visit Greece.  I recommend going and sitting in Centennial Park during sunset - you'll get some beautiful pictures.  After reading some reviews, I decided to go and tour the inside. I'm so glad I did.  It is wonderful.  There is an art gallery and a section to learn the history of the building itself.  The main highlight is the reproduction of the Athena Parthenos statue.  It is massive and fascinating to see - pictures below.
  • Vanderbilt University - I was staying right by the University so decided to take a walk through it one evening.  Very pretty campus, reminded me of Bentley where I went to college.
  • Walk of Stars - This is like the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in LA, but mostly country artist and outside the Country Hall Of Fame.
  • Honky Tonks Visited - Jason Aldean's Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, Lucky Bastards, Miranda Lambert's Casa Rosa - this was  my favorite night on Broadway.  All the artists were so talented and super fun to watch onstage.
Look at how beautiful the Parthenon is during sunset

How can I visit Nashville and not take a picture of Dolly Parton's star?
