This week and weekend has been busy once
again. I have some coworkers and friends here, so now that outdoor
restaurants have opened up, I met up with some people. Such fun nights
laughing and having a few drinks.
Since this is officially my last weekend
in SF, I really wanted to make it great. I spent Friday night walking the
Pier at Fisherman's Wharf and Embarcadero. Saturday I went to South
San Francisco to meet up with a friend. We went for a hike in Mori
Point and since it is on Highway 1, and I've been wanting to drive it, I
decided to just continue on. I ended up driving all the way to the Santa
Cruz boardwalk and making some stops along the way for pictures.
Highlights:
- The
Bay Bridge at night – It is so pretty all lit up, I haven't seen it up
close with the lights dancing before, hard to get a good picture, but it
was a sight to see
- Mori
Point – The hiking wasn't too bad (its all stairs going up), and the views
of the Pacific Ocean coming in are so peaceful
- Starbread
- Stop here on your way to Highway 1 for some Señorita bread, it is
basically sweet Filipino bread - you won't regret it
- Highway
1 - Also known as the Pacific Coast highway (I still want to do a lot more
of it). Its such a picturesque drive especially with everyone
on the beaches surfing and hanging out. I couldn't bring myself to
turn around, so I kept driving until I reached Santa Cruz.
While the amusement park on the boardwalk was closed, it was lovely to
walk around the area.
