Biscuits and Chattanooga

The weather is so hot and muggy here.  It is nice that Nashville has plenty of scooters around, because its really too hot to walk around all day. Luckily, my second weekend in Nashville I rented a car and decided to visit Chattanooga and Franklin.

Highlights from week 2:
  • Biscuit Love - Another place that several people/blogs have mentioned to visit.  The Gulch location is just a 10 minute walk from me.  I tried going on the first Saturday I was there, but the line was insane.  Instead I got up extra early before work and made my way over.  It did not disappoint, the biscuit was unbelievably good -- so many layers and buttery.  A total must try!  If you plan on visiting Nashville, plan on eating lots, the food is really great.
  • Pedestrian Bridge - Great views of the city and lake.  If you can, go during sunset, its really pretty to see the colors of the sky changing.
  • Rock City in Chattanooga - Touristy, but I'm still happy I went.  It is setup so well, and you make your way through all these caves.  There are such beautiful views of Tennessee.  There is also a spot where on a clear day you can see 7 states.
  • Lookout Mountain - Worth the drive around the mountain.
  • Franklin - Cute town to visit, lots of restaurants and shopping.  Go have a meal/brunch/coffee at Frothy Monkey.
  • Honky Tonks visited: Kid Rock's Bar, Honky Tonk Central.
Broadway such a awesome vibe!

Broadway - it really is the Vegas of Nashville

From the pedestrian bridge - so beautiful up there
